Saudi Arabia-based budget airline flynas has announced an extensive operational plan for the 1447H (2026) Hajj season, aiming to transport more than 147,000 pilgrims from 18 countries. The initiative reflects a significant scale-up in capacity, supported by fleet expansion and enhanced services across the airline’s main bases in Riyadh, Jeddah, Dammam, and Madinah.
The first phase of the programme will run for 33 days, focusing on inbound pilgrim traffic from regions across Asia, Africa, and Europe. During this period, the carrier will operate flights connecting key international destinations with Saudi Arabia to ensure smooth arrival and transit of pilgrims.
Flynas confirmed that its Hajj network this year includes Morocco, India, Senegal, Algeria, Bangladesh, Togo, Mauritania, Djibouti, Côte d'Ivoire, Nigeria, Ghana, Niger, Bosnia, Kuwait, Jordan, Iraq, Turkey, and Russia.
In addition to flight operations, the airline is continuing its participation in the Makkah Route Initiative, a programme introduced in 2019 under Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 strategy. The initiative is designed to streamline travel procedures for pilgrims by enabling pre-departure processing in their home countries, reducing congestion and improving efficiency upon arrival.
The move aligns with broader efforts under the Pilgrim Experience Programme, which seeks to enhance accessibility and overall services for those undertaking the Hajj pilgrimage to the Two Holy Mosques.
