Oman Air has expanded its cargo network with the launch of five new routes in the space of a week, increasing connectivity for freight customers and reinforcing its presence across key markets in Asia and the Gulf.
The new services, operated by Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft, connect Muscat with Singapore and Tashkent, while also adding flights to Sochi and Abu Dhabi, alongside a new Salalah-Dubai route.
According to Oman Air Cargo, the network expansion is designed to provide customers with greater access to regional and international markets while supporting the transportation of high-value and time-sensitive goods.
Michael Duggan, Head of Cargo at Oman Air, said the additional destinations would strengthen the airline's cargo offering by improving connectivity across Asia. He added that the expansion also enhances Oman Air Cargo's capabilities in transporting perishable goods, an area of growing demand among its customers.
The Muscat-Tashkent route will operate twice a week, creating additional cargo capacity between Oman and Central Asia. The airline expects the service to support increased trade in perishables and other time-critical shipments.
Meanwhile, the new Muscat-Singapore service, operating four times weekly, provides direct access to one of Asia's leading air cargo hubs, offering customers improved links to Southeast Asia and wider global markets.
Duggan said the expanded network reflects growing trade flows between Oman and Asia and will provide customers with greater flexibility, improved market access and more efficient routing options.
Under the new schedule, Oman Air will operate four weekly flights to Singapore, two weekly flights to Tashkent, one weekly flight to Sochi, daily services to Abu Dhabi and three weekly flights between Dubai and Salalah.
