Star Alliance’s Los Angeles Lounge has been named North America’s Leading Airport Lounge at the 2025 World Travel Awards, earning the title for the sixth year in a row. The award was announced at the Caribbean & The Americas Gala Ceremony on October 4, 2025, held in Saint Lucia.
“Our commitment at Star Alliance is to create seamless, connected journeys for travellers, and our lounges play a vital role in this,” said Star Alliance CEO Theo Panagiotoulias. “This recognition reflects the trust of travellers and industry experts and the continued excellence of the LAX lounge. We’re proud to see it honoured year after year.”
Panagiotoulias also thanked the team behind the lounge and Star Alliance member airlines for their collaboration and daily efforts to keep operations running smoothly.
Widely regarded as one of the world’s premier airport lounges, the Star Alliance lounge at Los Angeles International Airport spans 18,000 square feet and features an outdoor terrace with firepits, a calming water wall, and views of the Hollywood Hills. From relaxed days to vibrant evenings, it offers a distinctive setting to dine, work, or unwind before a flight.
A Star Alliance member since 2008, Turkish Airlines connects Los Angeles passengers to its global network with 17 weekly flights between Los Angeles (LAX) and Istanbul (IST).
Turkish Airlines Business Class passengers and Miles&Smiles Elite and Elite Plus members can access the Star Alliance Lounge at LAX, located in the Tom Bradley International Terminal (TBIT).
Established in 1993, the World Travel Awards celebrate excellence across travel, tourism, and hospitality, and are widely regarded as among the industry’s most prestigious honours.
