Abu Dhabi Airports has welcomed AnimaWings to Zayed International Airport (AUH), marking the Romanian airline’s first operations to the UAE capital.
The carrier began its scheduled service on December 27, a move that strengthens air links between Abu Dhabi and Europe while adding fresh depth to the airport’s expanding roster of airline partners.
With a new weekly flight, AnimaWings is establishing a direct connection to Bucharest, boosting Abu Dhabi’s international connectivity and supporting the emirate’s broader tourism and economic growth ambitions.
Ahmed Al Shamisi, Acting Chief Executive Officer of Abu Dhabi Airports, said the new route adds to AUH’s rapidly growing network and increases passenger choice. He also noted the airport’s focus on strengthening global connectivity and building a long-term partnership with the airline.
AnimaWings CEO and President Marius Pandel said the Abu Dhabi launch is a key step in the airline’s international expansion, describing the capital as a high-demand destination for both leisure and business travellers. He added that the airline looks forward to working with Abu Dhabi Airports to deliver a quality travel experience.
