Saudi Arabia’s fast-growing low-cost carrier Flyadeal has officially commenced operations in Bangladesh, launching direct flights between Dhaka and Jeddah at affordable fares.
The airline’s inaugural flight departed from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport on Wednesday at noon, marking the beginning of Flyadeal’s services on the popular route connecting Bangladesh with Saudi Arabia.
The launch ceremony was inaugurated by Air Vice Marshal Mohammad Mostafa Mahmud Siddiq, Chairman of the Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh (CAAB), in the presence of senior officials from CAAB and Flyadeal’s local partners.
A subsidiary of Saudia, Flyadeal is among the Middle East’s fastest-growing budget airlines. Despite its low-cost model, the carrier will offer complimentary meals and baggage allowance, aiming to provide added value to passengers.
The new Dhaka–Jeddah service is expected to reduce travel costs and enhance competition in the Bangladesh–Saudi Arabia aviation market, benefiting millions of Bangladeshi expatriates traveling between the two nations.
Initially, Flyadeal will operate two flights per week. Flight F3-9112 will depart Jeddah at 1:30 a.m. local time, while the return flight F3-9113 will leave Dhaka at 1:00 p.m. for Jeddah.
With this launch, Flyadeal strengthens its presence in South Asia, reinforcing its role as a key player in affordable international travel and contributing to Saudi Arabia’s aviation growth under Vision 2030.
