Oman Air is expanding its regional network with the launch of its fifth destination in Saudi Arabia: Taif. Starting 31 January 2026, the new service will offer passengers direct flights to Taif, further strengthening the airline’s presence in the Kingdom.
The new route will operate three times a week—on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays—using the Boeing 737. The service promises convenient flight timings, complemented by Oman Air’s renowned service and hospitality, making travel to this charming Saudi city even more accessible.
Con Korfiatis, CEO of Oman Air, shared his enthusiasm about the launch, saying, "Expanding into Taif is a strategic move in our regional growth, reinforcing the strong cultural and economic ties between Oman and Saudi Arabia. This new route provides our guests with greater choice and convenience, further enhancing their travel options."
Abdulkarim Al-Darwish, President of Middle East and Africa Markets at the Saudi Tourism Authority, also welcomed the new service, noting, “This flight enhances connectivity between our two countries, offering travelers from Oman better access to Saudi Arabia’s key destinations. Expanding regional air links aligns with our mission to boost tourism growth and strengthen partnerships.”
With the addition of Taif, Oman Air now serves five destinations in Saudi Arabia, including Jeddah, Riyadh, Dammam, and Madinah. This expansion highlights the airline’s commitment to improving intra-regional connectivity and fostering stronger economic and cultural ties within the Gulf.
