flynas has launched its first direct flight between Madinah and Baghdad, expanding air connectivity between Saudi Arabia and Iraq as part of the airline’s ongoing network growth.
The inaugural service departed from Prince Mohammad bin Abdulaziz International Airport in Madinah, where flynas marked the occasion with a launch ceremony attended by representatives from the airline and Tibah Airports Operation Company, the operator of the airport. Passengers on the first flight were welcomed with commemorative giveaways.
The new route will operate twice weekly, on Wednesdays and Saturdays, strengthening flynas’ presence at Madinah Airport, which serves as the carrier’s newest operational base. The airline said the service supports its expansion strategy, “We Connect the World to the Kingdom,” and aligns with Saudi Arabia’s National Civil Aviation Strategy and the Pilgrims Experience Program (PEP), aimed at improving access to the Two Holy Mosques.
flynas continues to expand its Saudi Arabia–Iraq network, currently operating four weekly flights between Dammam and Najaf and a daily nonstop service between Jeddah and Baghdad. The airline was also the first Saudi carrier to resume flights between the two countries in 2017, following a 27-year hiatus.
Passengers can book flights through the flynas website, mobile app, call centre, or authorized travel agents.
