Kuwait Airways has successfully completed the International Air Transport Association’s (IATA) Operational Safety Audit (IOSA), securing outstanding results that surpass previous years. This achievement underscores the airline's steadfast commitment to upholding the highest safety standards and adhering to global aviation protocols.
Captain Abdulwahab Ibrahim Al-Shatti, Acting CEO of Kuwait Airways, expressed his satisfaction with the results, stating, "We are proud to announce the successful completion of the IOSA safety audit. This accomplishment demonstrates our unwavering dedication to operational safety, reinforces our commitment to providing secure and reliable services, and strengthens Kuwait Airways' position on both regional and global platforms."
The IOSA Program is an internationally recognized system for auditing airlines, evaluating their operational management and control systems. The recent audit focused on key areas identified through a risk-based assessment, with the Audit Team thoroughly reviewing critical functions such as Flight Operations, Operational Control and Flight Dispatch, Aircraft Engineering & Maintenance, Cabin Operations, Ground Handling, Cargo Operations, and Security Management.
Additionally, a Maturity Assessment of Kuwait Airways' safety-critical systems was conducted, yielding impressive results. The assessment found mature levels of implementation across core Safety Management Systems (SMS) components, including Risk Management, Safety Assurance, Safety Promotion, and Quality Management. This indicates a high level of efficiency in the airline’s operational systems and highlights the professionalism of Kuwait Airways' workforce.
