Qatar Airways has operated its inaugural flight to Hail, launching a new non-stop route between Qatar Airways’ hub at Hamad International Airport and Hail International Airport. The service runs three times weekly, making Hail the airline’s 13th destination in Saudi Arabia.
The new route underscores the carrier’s strategic focus on expanding across the Kingdom and strengthening regional connectivity. Via Doha, the service is expected to enhance access to north-central Saudi Arabia from Africa, the Indian Subcontinent, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia.
With Hail added, Qatar Airways now operates more than 150 weekly flights to 13 Saudi destinations, including Abha, AlUla, Dammam, Jeddah, Medina, NEOM, Qassim, Riyadh, Tabuk, Taif, The Red Sea, and Yanbu. The airline was named World’s Best Airline by Skytrax in 2025 and connects passengers to 170+ global destinations through its Doha hub.
Flights operate Monday, Thursday, and Saturday:
- DOH → HAS (QR1228): 14:20 departure, 16:30 arrival
- HAS → DOH (QR1229): 17:30 departure, 19:25 arrival
Located in north-central Saudi Arabia, Hail Province is known for its desert landscapes and cultural heritage. Historically a key stop on ancient trade and pilgrimage routes, the region features UNESCO-listed rock art sites that reflect thousands of years of human presence and continue to draw culture and adventure travelers.
Qatar Airways added that Privilege Club members can earn Avios on flights and at Qatar Duty Free in Doha, with redemption options spanning travel and lifestyle rewards.
