Emirates airline has dismissed recent reports suggesting it plans to soon resume flights to Tel Aviv, saying there are currently no confirmed arrangements to restart the suspended route.
The clarification followed a Bloomberg report claiming that Dubai’s flagship carrier was preparing to relaunch its operations to the Israeli capital. “Flights to and from Tel Aviv remain suspended, and there are no firm plans at this stage to resume operations,” an Emirates spokesperson told Khaleej Times in a statement.
The carrier, which operates one of the world’s largest international networks, halted services to Tel Aviv’s Ben Gurion Airport nearly two years ago amid intensified hostilities between Israel and other regional states.
The renewed speculation comes as political and military tensions in the Middle East continue to rise. U.S. President Donald Trump recently warned of possible action against Iran, prompting Tehran to place its forces on high alert and issue warnings directed at both Washington and Israel.
While Emirates has yet to decide on when flights to Israel might resume, the airline said travelers can still reach Tel Aviv via its partner flydubai, which maintains direct services under the two carriers’ existing codeshare arrangement.
“Passengers can book through flydubai and connect onward with Emirates’ global network covering more than 150 destinations,” the spokesperson added.
