Emirates is strengthening its presence in Japan with the launch of a second daily flight between Dubai and Tokyo Narita, starting 1 May 2026. The new service will be operated by a retrofitted Boeing 777-300ER, reaffirming the airline’s commitment to offering a premium and consistent travel experience on its Japanese routes.
Flight EK320 will depart Dubai at 22:30 and arrive at Tokyo Narita at 13:30 the following afternoon. The return flight, EK321, will take off from Narita at 21:30 and touch down in Dubai at 03:50 the next morning (local times).
The additional frequency will give travellers more flexibility and convenient travel options, whether connecting through Dubai or flying point-to-point. Passengers heading east to Japan will arrive in time for afternoon domestic connections, while those flying west will reach Dubai early in the morning — ideal for seamless onward travel to key destinations across Europe, Africa, and South America, including cities like Paris, Rome, Lisbon, Johannesburg, Cairo, and São Paulo.
The upgraded Boeing 777-300ER used on the new service features Emirates’ latest four-class configuration. The redesigned interiors include elegant wood finishes, modern tones, and Ghaf Tree motifs throughout the cabin. The aircraft offers eight First Class private suites, 40 Business Class seats in a 1-2-1 arrangement, 24 Premium Economy seats, and 260 Economy seats.
Travellers can look forward to a regionally inspired dining experience, including authentic Japanese dishes such as the Kaiseki meal tray. Every passenger will also enjoy Emirates’ acclaimed ice entertainment system, offering over 6,500 channels of movies, shows, music, podcasts, and more — with a selection of Japanese content onboard.
Tickets for the new service are now available on emirates.com, via the Emirates App, or through travel agents and Emirates retail outlets.
Emirates has been serving Japan since 2002 and currently operates daily flights to Tokyo Narita, Tokyo Haneda, and Osaka. All routes feature the carrier’s Premium Economy cabin across Boeing 777 and A380 aircraft.
With the launch of the second daily Narita service, Emirates will operate 28 weekly flights to Japan, offering more than 22,500 seats each week across its three gateways. The airline will also provide around 1,240 tonnes of weekly cargo capacity, supporting Japan’s trade links with the GCC, Europe, and Africa.
To further enhance the travel experience, Emirates recently introduced its Chauffeur-drive service for premium passengers departing from Narita, with the service set to launch in Osaka on 1 March. Through its partnerships with Japan Airlines (JAL) and All Nippon Airways (ANA), Emirates also connects travellers to 36 destinations across Japan — 26 domestic and 10 regional.
The new Narita flight will strengthen these connections and offer customers greater convenience and flexibility when planning their journeys.
