Singapore Airlines (SIA) will inaugurate new non-stop flights between Singapore and Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, beginning 2 June 2026. The airline will operate four weekly services using its medium-haul Airbus A350-900 aircraft, which offers 303 seats across two cabin classes—40 in Business Class and 263 in Economy Class.
Pending regulatory approvals, flight SQ498 is scheduled to depart Singapore every Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday at 6:20 p.m. local time, arriving in the Saudi capital at 9:45 p.m. The return flight, SQ499, will leave Riyadh on the same days at 11:00 p.m., landing in Singapore the following afternoon at 12:15 p.m.
Singapore Airlines’ Chief Commercial Officer, Lee Lik Hsin, said the carrier’s renewed presence in Riyadh underscores its confidence in the Kingdom’s rapidly transforming economy and expanding global ties. “Riyadh is emerging as one of the Middle East’s most vibrant business hubs. Our new service offers travellers greater connectivity while strengthening our ability to collaborate with regional partners and enhance our network across the Gulf,” he said.
The addition of Riyadh broadens the SIA Group’s footprint in Saudi Arabia, joining Scoot’s existing four-times-weekly operations to Jeddah.
As Saudi Arabia’s political, administrative, and financial centre, Riyadh blends heritage and modernity—from landmarks such as Diriyah and Masmak Fortress to its upscale museums, shopping districts, and dining destinations.
Once all necessary approvals are obtained, tickets for the new route will be released progressively through Singapore Airlines’ official sales channels.
