Wizz Air closed out 2025 with its strongest performance to date, achieving record passenger numbers, a larger network, and noticeable gains in reliability—all reflecting the airline’s continued emphasis on operational efficiency and customer experience.
Throughout the year, the carrier expanded its fleet with 42 new aircraft, operated nearly 335,000 scheduled flights, and introduced over 320 new routes. Passenger traffic stayed robust, rising 9.4% year-on-year to 68.6 million travellers.
The airline also strengthened its operational performance, posting a completion rate of 99.61%—one of the highest among Europe’s major carriers. Punctuality improved too, with 73.38% of flights departing within 15 minutes and 77.98% arriving on schedule. These results were driven by targeted measures across maintenance, ground operations, crew planning, and overall flight management.
Chief Executive Officer József Váradi described 2025 as a “defining year” for Wizz Air, highlighting the simultaneous growth and operational progress. Moving forward, the airline plans to accelerate expansion in Central and Eastern Europe and venture further into underserved markets while continuing to modernize its fleet, enhance digital capabilities, and strengthen reliability.
Entering 2026 on a strong footing, Wizz Air aims to serve more than 80 million passengers across Europe and beyond, reinforcing its ambition to deliver a more efficient, punctual, and customer-focused travel experience.
