Emirates and Loong Air have signed an interline partnership that strengthens Emirates’ footprint across China, enabling its customers to seamlessly connect to additional destinations beyond the airline’s existing gateways.
Effective immediately, Emirates passengers can now travel to 22 cities throughout China via Loong Air’s operations, connecting through Hangzhou, Shenzhen, and Hong Kong. This expanded network spans key regions including East, Northeast, South, Central, and Southwest China.
Through this partnership, customers benefit from the convenience of booking multi-carrier journeys on a single ticket, supported by a unified baggage policy and consistent fare conditions from start to finish. The agreement enhances travel options for business and leisure travelers alike, providing direct access to vital domestic hubs such as Zhengzhou, Changchun, Haikou, Xiangyang, and Dazhou.
Bookings are now available via www.emirates.com, leading online travel agencies (OTAs), and major global distribution systems (GDS) through travel agents. Customers using Emirates’ official website can also enjoy streamlined payments with local options like WeChat Pay and Alipay.
This interline agreement with Loong Air forms part of Emirates’ ongoing strategy to deepen ties with the Chinese market. Last year, the airline launched services to Shenzhen and Hangzhou, introducing its acclaimed Premium Economy cabin on these routes while reinstating its iconic A380 on flights to Shanghai.
Since entering mainland China in 2004, Emirates has grown its network to five major cities—Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, and Hangzhou—operating 49 weekly flights with a mix of Airbus A380s, A350s, and Boeing 777s.
Emirates also partners with Air China, China Southern Airlines, and Sichuan Airlines, collectively offering access to more than 110 destinations across China beyond its own gateways.
Zhejiang Loong Airlines Co., Ltd. (Loong Air) was established on April 19, 2011, and began passenger operations on December 29, 2013. Based in Hangzhou, the airline maintains regional hubs in Xi’an, Chengdu, and Guangzhou, serving Northwest, Southwest, and Central-South China.
Loong Air launched its first international service on June 28, 2016, and now operates routes including Hangzhou–Hong Kong and Xi’an–Tashkent. The airline also holds interline agreements with carriers such as Cathay Pacific and Uzbekistan Airways.
