Queen Alia International Airport (QAIA) reported strong growth in September 2025, welcoming 834,894 passengers, marking a 15.7 percent increase compared to the same month last year, according to Airport International Group.
Aircraft movements also recorded a solid rise, reaching 6,965, up 16.9 percent year-on-year, while cargo traffic totaled 6,282 tons, showing a 10 percent increase compared to August 2024.
From January to September 2025, QAIA handled 7,302,682 passengers, a 7.5 percent rise over the same period in 2024. During these nine months, aircraft movements climbed to 59,268 (up 4.7 percent), while cargo volumes reached 51,547 tons, reflecting a 10.8 percent decline year-on-year.
“September 2025 marked a steady return to regular traffic levels at QAIA, signaling a solid rebound after the summer season,” said Nicolas Deviller, CEO of Airport International Group. “This recovery was supported by the return of Jordanian expatriates, consistent travel demand, and enhanced airline connectivity.”
Deviller added that the results underscore QAIA’s resilience and operational stability despite regional challenges. He reaffirmed the airport’s commitment to maintaining growth, enhancing passenger experience, and reinforcing its position as Jordan’s main international gateway.
