The understanding was signed on the sidelines of the 11th ICAO AFI Week in Cairo and sets out a phased framework for increasing air services in response to growing demand for passenger and cargo traffic.

Under the agreement, both countries will gradually expand air traffic rights, creating additional opportunities for airlines while supporting closer economic cooperation and improving connectivity.

He noted that the framework supports the sustainable growth of air services while creating greater opportunities for airlines and travellers.
