The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has announced the suspension of an Umrah service provider and its foreign agent after confirming serious regulatory violations.
The action was taken following the ministry’s verification that the company failed to provide pilgrims with accommodation as specified in the approved contractual programs, in direct contravention of the regulations governing services for Umrah performers and visitors to the Prophet’s Mosque.
According to the ministry, several pilgrims arrived in the Kingdom without access to their contractually approved lodging, despite these services being formally documented within the authorized programs. This breach necessitated the prompt initiation of legal and regulatory measures against the company and its overseas agent, in line with established procedures.
The ministry stated that these measures were implemented to safeguard the rights of affected pilgrims, prevent the recurrence of similar violations, and reinforce service quality standards across the Umrah sector.
The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah affirmed that this action forms part of its ongoing oversight efforts to ensure Umrah service providers adhere strictly to their contractual commitments with professionalism and transparency. These efforts align with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 objectives to enhance the overall pilgrim experience through improved governance and service excellence.
The ministry further emphasized its zero-tolerance policy toward any negligence or breach of contractual obligations involving pilgrims, underscoring that protecting the rights of the Guests of God remains an absolute priority. It stressed that the quality of services provided to pilgrims is a fundamental standard that must not be compromised.
The ministry concluded by calling on all Umrah companies and service providers to fully comply with approved regulations and instructions, and to deliver services precisely as outlined in their contractual programs, thereby contributing to higher service quality and achieving the highest levels of satisfaction among pilgrims and visitors.
