Fairmont Hotels & Resorts has announced an ambitious expansion across Saudi Arabia, with three new luxury properties set to open in the coming years. The developments — Fairmont The Red Sea, Fairmont Rua Madinah, and Fairmont Ajdan Al Khobar will collectively add 616 rooms and residences, strengthening the brand’s presence in the Kingdom and supporting the goals of Saudi Vision 2030 to position the country as a leading global tourism destination.
Expanding Luxury Across the Kingdom
The openings reflect Fairmont’s commitment to redefining luxury hospitality while aligning with Saudi Arabia’s drive to diversify its economy through tourism and cultural investment.
Fairmont The Red Sea, opening by the end of 2025, will serve as a flagship resort within the ambitious Red Sea Project. Featuring 193 elegantly designed rooms and suites, the property promises sweeping views of the Red Sea and an array of world-class amenities — including six dining venues, a full-service spa, kids’ and teens’ clubs, and access to an 18-hole golf course.
Scheduled for 2027, Fairmont Ajdan Al Khobar will anchor the Ajdan Waterfront development, offering 160 luxury rooms and serviced apartments, four dining outlets, a wellness spa, and extensive meeting spaces tailored for business and leisure travelers alike.
In the Holy City of Madinah, Fairmont Rua Madinah is expected to open in 2028 near the revered Prophet’s Mosque. The property will feature 143 rooms and suites, along with 120 branded residences, a selection of fine dining options, a spa, and family-friendly amenities — offering a serene and luxurious retreat for pilgrims and visitors.
Supporting Vision 2030
Fairmont’s expansion highlights its alignment with Saudi Vision 2030, the Kingdom’s transformative roadmap to build a world-class tourism ecosystem. The new hotels are designed to attract international travelers, elevate service standards, and showcase the cultural and natural diversity of Saudi Arabia.
Redefining Saudi Luxury Living
With these openings, Fairmont joins a wave of luxury developments reshaping the Red Sea and beyond. The brand’s presence will complement other high-profile destinations, including Desert Rock Resort, Shebara Resort, Six Senses Southern Dunes, and The St. Regis Red Sea Resort — all of which are transforming Saudi Arabia’s western coastline into a global luxury hub.
Fairmont’s upcoming properties — from the pristine shores of the Red Sea to the sacred city of Madinah underscore the brand’s confidence in Saudi Arabia’s hospitality vision, combining elegance, innovation, and sustainability to define the next era of travel in the Kingdom.
