Doha, 3 March 2026 (09:00 GMT+3) — Qatar Airways has confirmed that its flight operations remain temporarily suspended due to the continued closure of Qatari airspace, as previously announced.
In its latest service update, the airline said operations will resume only after the Qatar Civil Aviation Authority declares the airspace safe for reopening. A further update is scheduled to be issued by 09:00 Doha time (06:00 UTC) on 4 March.
The carrier advised passengers to monitor the latest flight status through qatarairways.com or the Qatar Airways mobile application for real-time information.
Booking Assistance Measures Continue
Qatar Airways reiterated that passengers holding confirmed bookings for travel between 28 February and 10 March 2026 remain eligible for flexible rebooking options. Affected travelers may:
-
Change their travel dates free of charge, up to 14 days from the original departure date, or
-
Request a refund for the unused value of their ticket.
The airline noted that customer service centers are experiencing high call volumes and requested that only passengers scheduled to travel within the next 48 hours contact the airline directly.
Travelers with later departure dates are encouraged to manage their bookings online or via the mobile app, or to reach out closer to their intended travel date.
Passengers who made reservations through travel agents or third-party websites have been advised to contact their booking providers for further assistance.
Qatar Airways said it will continue to provide updates as the situation evolves.
