Emirates has marked a major milestone with the launch of its Airbus A350 service to Oslo, bringing its award-winning Premium Economy cabin to Scandinavia for the first time. The debut flight was celebrated with an exclusive event at Oslo Airport, attended by dignitaries, industry partners, and media, highlighting the airline’s continued investment and commitment to the Norwegian market.

The introduction of the A350 marks a new chapter in Emirates’ operations in Norway. The aircraft showcases the airline’s latest-generation Business Class, Premium Economy, and Economy Class cabins, setting new benchmarks for comfort and design across all travel classes.
Emirates has operated daily flights between Dubai and Oslo since 2014, becoming a preferred choice for both business and leisure travelers connecting Norway with the UAE and onward to over 145 global destinations.

Senior Emirates executives Pierfrancesco Carino, Vice President of Commercial Operations for North and West Europe, and Terje Grue, Country Manager for Norway, attended the ceremony alongside Majid Al Matrooshi from the UAE Embassy in Norway, Ståle Lien Hansen, Mayor of Ullensaker Municipality, and Dorothy Billett, Senior Vice President of Terminal Operations at Avinor.
“We are thrilled to bring the A350 and our Premium Economy product to Norway,” said Grue. “This is an important step in strengthening our presence in the market. Travelers from Oslo will now enjoy a new level of comfort, whether flying to Dubai or onward to destinations across Asia, Africa, and Australia.”

Emirates’ Premium Economy is designed to make luxury travel more accessible, offering features comparable to Business Class on many airlines. Passengers can enjoy a spacious 40-inch seat pitch, eight inches of recline, adjustable headrests, full leg and footrests, and seats upholstered in cream leather with woodgrain dining tables.
The cabin also includes 13.3-inch TV screens, in-seat charging ports, side cocktail tables, plush pillows and blankets, amenity kits on select flights, and the exclusive Chandon Vintage Brut 2017 sparkling wine.
The launch event brought together travel and operational partners as well as media representatives, who were given the opportunity to tour the new A350 and experience the Premium Economy cabin first-hand.

The new Airbus A350 now operates Emirates’ daily EK159/160 service between Oslo and Dubai, offering seamless connections to destinations across Asia-Pacific, including Thailand, Indonesia, Pakistan, Japan, Vietnam, the Philippines, and Australia.
