Kuwait Airways has launched its first-ever training course focused on artificial intelligence (AI), marking a major step in the airline’s ongoing digital transformation and employee development strategy.
The training, organized by the company’s Training Department, covered AI applications in public relations, marketing, and social media. It introduced employees to leading AI tools, including ChatGPT, Microsoft 365 Copilot, and DeepSeek, among others.
Kuwait Airways Chairman, Captain Abdulmohsen Salem Al-Fagaan, highlighted the significance of the initiative, calling it “the first of its kind” for the national carrier. “This course will be expanded in the future to include other specializations that play a vital role in enhancing employee performance and fostering creativity and innovation,” he said.
Al-Fagaan explained that mastering AI programs requires practical training to optimize their use in tasks such as research, data analysis, and social media monitoring. He emphasized that the ultimate goal is to align employee skills with rapid technological advancements in the aviation sector.
“This initiative reflects Kuwait Airways’ commitment to keeping pace with global developments in artificial intelligence and integrating these tools across operational and administrative functions,” Al-Fagaan noted. “By harnessing AI, we aim to accelerate processes, improve decision-making accuracy, and enhance overall efficiency.”
He added that the program is part of a broader digital transformation strategy aimed at strengthening the airline’s technological infrastructure and fostering a culture of continuous learning. “Kuwait Airways is deeply committed to investing in its human capital,” Al-Fagaan said. “We strive to provide our employees with the tools and skills they need to adapt to emerging technologies and to create an environment that encourages innovation.”
Al-Fagaan concluded by reaffirming Kuwait Airways’ ambition to remain at the forefront of technological progress in the aviation industry. “The airline continues to evolve by adopting cutting-edge technologies and equipping its workforce to achieve excellence in every aspect of its operations,” he said.
