Ryanair has unveiled its biggest-ever winter schedule for Amman, marking a major boost for Jordan’s aviation and tourism sectors. The Irish low-cost carrier will operate over 300,000 seats across 18 destinations, linking the Jordanian capital to 12 European Union countries including Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, and Spain.
The airline’s full return to Amman Airport reflects the strong collaboration between Ryanair and the Jordanian Government, whose business-friendly policies have made the Kingdom one of the Middle East’s most attractive and accessible tourism destinations.
As part of its expansion, Ryanair reaffirmed its commitment to driving inbound tourism and supporting Jordan’s economy by offering Europe’s lowest fares. This approach encourages visitors to spend more in local hotels, restaurants, and businesses, stimulating job creation and regional development.
Ryanair also announced an ambitious investment proposal for Jordan that aims to increase annual passenger traffic by 360%, reaching 3 million seats. The plan includes operating 50 direct connections between European cities and Jordan, launching flights to Marka (Amman) Airport, and maintaining year-round routes to Aqaba.
“Ryanair is thrilled to announce a record winter schedule for Amman, with 84 weekly flights across 18 routes connecting Jordan to 12 European countries,” said Eddie Wilson, Ryanair CEO. “Our continued investment will strengthen Jordan’s position as a leading tourist destination in the Middle East while boosting connectivity, tourism, and economic growth.”
Jordan’s Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, Dr. Emad Hijazeen, praised the announcement as a “remarkable milestone” for the country’s tourism and aviation industries. “This expansion reinforces Jordan’s role as a key hub for tourism and investment in the region, creating new opportunities across the tourism value chain,” he said.
Jordan Tourism Board Managing Director, Dr. Abdul Razzaq Arabiyat, highlighted the strong partnership with Ryanair since 2018, noting that the collaboration has helped bring over a million visitors from Europe to Jordan.
“Ryanair has been instrumental in positioning Jordan as a competitive and accessible destination for European travelers,” he said. “Our joint marketing efforts have showcased Jordan as a must-visit destination for cultural, adventure, and family tourism.”
With its record schedule and long-term investment vision, Ryanair’s expansion will further cement Jordan’s reputation as a dynamic bridge between Europe and the Middle East opening the door for millions of travelers to explore the Kingdom’s rich history, natural beauty, and vibrant culture.
