Fresh off a record-breaking season, UAE Team Emirates XRG received a warm welcome at Emirates Group Headquarters in Dubai this week. The visit marked the cycling team’s first stop after landing in the UAE, where they were greeted by Emirates Airline President Sir Tim Clark and an enthusiastic crowd of employees — many of whom are avid cycling fans.
Leading the delegation was Tadej Pogačar, the world’s top-ranked cyclist and four-time Tour de France champion. He was joined by world number five João Almeida and teammates Florian Vermeersch, Jay Vine, Johnatan Narváez, and Tim Wellens. The team’s CEO, Mauro Gianetti, was also present.
The event celebrated UAE Team Emirates XRG’s extraordinary season, which saw them clinch a record number of victories across the international cycling circuit. Emirates employees had the opportunity to meet the riders, take photos, and discuss the team’s recent successes, reinforcing the strong partnership between the airline and the cycling outfit.
Emirates has been a co-title sponsor and long-standing supporter of UAE Team Emirates XRG since the team’s formation in 2017. The airline renewed its sponsorship earlier this year, further cementing its commitment to the sport and the team’s global ambitions.
To cap off the celebrations, UAE Team Emirates XRG will join fans for a community ride on Al Hudayriat Island on October 30, 2025, marking the end of a landmark season for the Emirati team.
