Kuwait Airways and Emirates have announced an expansion of their commercial cooperation, offering passengers wider international travel options and smoother connections across both airlines’ networks. The development builds on a Memorandum of Understanding signed in April to enhance their bilateral partnership.
Under the expanded agreement, Kuwait Airways will gain access to 19 destinations within Emirates’ global network, spanning Australia, China, Japan, Cyprus, the United States, South Africa and more. This will give Kuwait Airways passengers greater connectivity and flexibility across key international markets.
In return, Emirates will gain access to 8 destinations operated by Kuwait Airways, including major points in Egypt, Turkey, Iraq and Azerbaijan—further strengthening travel options for Emirates customers.
Kuwait Airways Chairman Abdulmohsen Al-Fagaan said the expanded cooperation reflects the airline’s strategy to widen its global reach through strong partnerships.
“This cooperation enables passengers of both airlines to benefit from more destinations and enhanced travel options,” he said, noting that customers can book the new routes through Kuwait Airways sales offices and its 171 call center. He added that the partnership aligns with Kuwait Airways’ broader plans to diversify travel choices and enhance service quality.
Al-Fagaan emphasised that the agreement supports the national carrier’s long-term vision to strengthen international connectivity and elevate customer experience through integrated travel services.
Emirates Deputy President and Chief Commercial Officer Adnan Kazim said the expansion marks an important step in improving travel convenience for both airlines’ passengers.
“The partnership enhances connectivity across regional and global markets, offering travellers a smoother and more valuable experience via Dubai and Kuwait,” he said.
Kazim added that the collaboration reinforces Emirates’ commitment to supporting travel and trade flows between the UAE and Kuwait.
