Air Arabia, the leading budget carrier in the Middle East and North Africa, has officially launched a daily non-stop flight connecting Sharjah International Airport with Václav Havel Airport Prague, marking a new milestone in the airline’s growing European network.
The new route, operated on Air Arabia’s newly received Airbus A320neo aircraft, further strengthens the airline’s ability to offer passengers greater flexibility, convenience, and affordability for both leisure and business travel between the UAE and the Czech Republic.
The launch of the Sharjah-Prague route comes as part of Air Arabia’s commitment to expanding its European presence, offering more direct and affordable travel options to popular destinations.
The airline celebrated the milestone with a special welcome ceremony upon arrival at Prague airport, attended by key airport officials, local partners, and Air Arabia representatives, highlighting the significance of this new connection for both regions.
Adel Al Ali, Group CEO of Air Arabia, commented, “We are excited to introduce this new daily non-stop service to Prague, a prominent European destination, responding to the increasing demand for reliable and accessible air travel from the UAE. This new route aligns with our ongoing efforts to strengthen our European network and foster greater cultural, business, and tourism ties between the UAE and the Czech Republic.”
Jiří Pos, Chairman of the Board of Prague Airport, added, “We are thrilled to welcome Air Arabia back to Prague after five years, with this new route opening up additional travel opportunities for passengers not only to the Middle East but also to connecting destinations in East Africa, India, Sri Lanka, the Maldives, Thailand, and Kuala Lumpur. This service is a significant enhancement to the winter flight schedule, providing even more options for travelers.”
The new Prague service joins Air Arabia’s extensive European network from Sharjah, which already includes destinations like Vienna, Athens, Milan Bergamo, Krakow, Warsaw Chopin, and Warsaw Modlin. Air Arabia’s modern fleet of Airbus A320 and A321 aircraft ensures a comfortable and cost-effective travel experience, featuring its in-flight streaming service “SkyTime” and onboard dining options through “SkyCafe.”
Additionally, passengers can enjoy benefits from Air Arabia’s loyalty program, ‘Air Rewards,’ which offers some of the region’s most generous travel rewards.
With the launch of this new route, Air Arabia continues to solidify its position as a key player in affordable, efficient air travel, connecting regions and providing enhanced travel options for its passengers.
