Gulf Air has broadened its codeshare partnership with Turkish Airlines, expanding travel options for passengers connecting through Istanbul Airport (IST) and opening up additional routes across Europe and Türkiye.
Under the updated agreement, Gulf Air customers can now travel via Istanbul onward to a wider list of destinations, including Budapest (BUD), Prague (PRG), Venice (VCE), Vienna (VIE), and Rize (RZV) in Türkiye. The expansion is designed to give travellers more choice and flexibility when building itineraries, while leveraging Istanbul’s status as a major international hub.
Gulf Air CEO Martin Gauss said the move will help bring more cities within reach through a single, coordinated itinerary, with schedules aligned to improve connection times and simplify the overall journey.
Turkish Airlines CEO Bilal Ekşi said the expanded collaboration strengthens Istanbul’s role as a leading global hub and is expected to deliver added value to passengers through improved connectivity.
The expanded codeshare also enhances Turkish Airlines’ network reach by strengthening connections across Gulf Air’s existing routes.
