Biman Bangladesh Airlines has announced an operational update for its flights to southern China, confirming that all services on the Dhaka–Guangzhou–Dhaka route will shift to Terminal 3 at Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport.
The change will come into effect on January 22, 2026, ending the airline’s operations at Terminal 1. According to the national flag carrier, the decision follows official instructions from the Guangzhou Airport Authority and aligns with ongoing efforts to enhance passenger experience and streamline airport services.
Terminal 3 is one of the airport’s newest and most modern facilities, designed to handle higher passenger volumes while offering improved check-in efficiency, upgraded amenities, and smoother transfer processes. The move is expected to benefit travellers by reducing congestion and improving overall service quality for international passengers.
Biman has urged passengers departing from Guangzhou on or after the effective date to carefully review their flight details in advance. Travellers are advised to allow additional time to reach Terminal 3, particularly during peak travel hours, and to remain attentive to airport signage upon arrival.
The airline also confirmed that its ground handling teams will be available at the terminal to assist passengers with check-in, boarding, and any travel-related queries, ensuring a smooth transition during the initial phase of the terminal change.
The Guangzhou route remains an important link for Biman, serving business travellers, tourists, and the Bangladeshi expatriate community in China. The terminal relocation reflects the airline’s continued coordination with international airport authorities to maintain operational efficiency and passenger comfort.
