STARLUX Airlines has officially taken delivery of its first Airbus A350-1000 at Airbus’ Delivery Centre in Toulouse, France, marking a significant milestone for the young Taiwanese luxury carrier as it continues its international expansion.
The aircraft, registered B-58501, departed Toulouse and is now en route to Taiwan, where it will join STARLUX’s existing fleet of A350-900s and A330neo aircraft.
The arrival of the A350-1000—the largest variant in Airbus’ next-generation A350 family—represents a major step forward for STARLUX in enhancing its long-haul capabilities.
The airline is expected to deploy the new type on its growing transpacific network, including the busy Taipei–Los Angeles route, and potentially on future destinations such as San Francisco and Seattle, supporting STARLUX’s strategy to establish itself as a premium Asian carrier.
Configured in a four-class layout, STARLUX’s A350-1000 is designed to deliver exceptional passenger comfort, equipped with first-class suites, business-class seats with direct aisle access, premium economy recliners, and economy seats featuring the latest in-flight entertainment and connectivity options. The aircraft also benefits from Airbus’ advanced materials and aerodynamics, offering fuel efficiency and reduced emissions.
STARLUX’s fleet expansion comes as part of its ambitious growth plan launched after its 2020 debut. The carrier currently operates a fleet of Airbus A350-900s, A330neo, and A321neo aircraft, all sourced from Airbus, reflecting the brand’s emphasis on fleet commonality and operational efficiency.
The milestone delivery further strengthens STARLUX’s partnership with Airbus. According to Airbus (press release, January 2026), the A350-1000 will “enable STARLUX to offer an enhanced long-range experience while benefiting from high fuel efficiency and advanced sustainability performance.”
