Emirates has announced a significant new partnership with world No. 1 tennis player Aryna Sabalenka, appointing her as the airline’s first-ever global tennis ambassador.
The collaboration reinforces Emirates’ long-standing support of the sport, having served for many years as the Official Airline of all four Grand Slam tournaments worldwide. To commemorate the announcement, Sabalenka officially unveiled an Emirates A380 featuring a bespoke, tennis-inspired livery that pays tribute to the airline’s sponsorship of the Australian Open, Roland Garros, Wimbledon and the US Open.
Emirates and Sabalenka are united by a shared commitment to excellence, innovation and high performance. With Dubai having played a central role in Sabalenka’s training and preparation throughout her career, the partnership reflects a natural alignment between the athlete and the airline.
The agreement comes at the culmination of an exceptional period for the 27-year-old star. Sabalenka is now a four-time Grand Slam champion, having secured her second US Open title in September last year. She also claimed consecutive Australian Open victories in 2023 and 2024, finished runner-up at the 2025 Australian Open, and has been named WTA Tour Player of the Year for the past two seasons.
Commenting on the partnership, Sabalenka said:
“In tennis, success is built on precision and focus, so partnering with a brand that mirrors my ambition and attention to detail feels completely natural.
Travelling with Emirates in world-class comfort has been an important part of my preparation, but this collaboration goes far beyond travel. It represents what women in sport can achieve on the global stage.
Arriving in Melbourne on board this Emirates A380, I feel confident and inspired to make 2026 another memorable year.”
Boutros Boutros, Emirates’ Executive Vice President for Corporate Communications, Marketing and Brand, added:
“Aryna is not only an exceptional athlete but also a global role model whose determination, professionalism and winning mindset strongly align with the values of Emirates. With Dubai as a shared home, we already enjoy a strong connection, and this partnership allows us to deepen that relationship in a meaningful and authentic way.
Together, we look forward to creating distinctive experiences that bring fans closer to both the sport and the Emirates brand — whether through live tennis on our ice entertainment system or curated onboard experiences inspired by Grand Slam destinations. We are excited to support Aryna at the Australian Open and throughout the 2026 season.”
