Kuwait Airways is set to commence operations to its newest destination, Sphinx in the Arab Republic of Egypt, starting 15 January 2026. The airline will operate three weekly flights to the city on Sundays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays, offering travellers a distinctive tourism experience that blends Egypt’s rich historical heritage with the premium service of the national carrier.
Acting Chief Executive Officer, Captain Abdulwahab Ibrahim Al-Shatti, remarked, “The launch of flights to Sphinx marks a significant expansion of Kuwait Airways’ route network. This destination provides travellers with a unique opportunity to explore Egypt’s iconic landmarks, including the Pyramids and the Grand Egyptian Museum, while enjoying the comfort and quality of service that define our airline.”
Captain Al-Shatti highlighted that the introduction of the Sphinx route at the start of 2026 underscores Kuwait Airways’ commitment to delivering a seamless and flexible travel experience for passengers, whether travelling for tourism, business, or educational purposes. He added that the airline remains focused on ensuring passenger comfort and maintaining the highest standards of service across all touchpoints.
He further explained that this launch represents the beginning of a broader strategy to expand Kuwait Airways’ international network, offering travellers a wider range of destinations and enhancing their travel options with the national carrier.
