flyadeal, Saudi Arabia’s fast-growing low-cost airline, has marked one year of operations in Pakistan by hosting a travel trade appreciation awards dinner in Karachi.
The celebration follows the recent opening of flyadeal’s sales and marketing office in Karachi, Pakistan’s commercial centre. The city is one of five destinations currently served by the airline, reflecting its steadily expanding presence across the country.
flyadeal launched scheduled flights from Riyadh and Jeddah to Karachi in February 2025, making it the airline’s first route into South Asia. Within eight months, services were expanded to include Peshawar, Sialkot, Lahore and Islamabad, significantly increasing capacity and connectivity.
The airline now operates 18 weekly non-stop flights between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan, providing direct links between major cities in both countries.
As part of the anniversary celebrations, flyadeal recognised top-performing travel agents for their continued support at the Karachi event. In Pakistan, the airline is represented by its local partner and general sales agent, Matchless Global.
The event was hosted by flyadeal’s Jeddah-based management team, led by Head of Sales Farooq Ahmad and International Sales Manager Mohammed Desouky, together with Pakistan Country Sales Manager Muhammad Saleem Motiwala. More than 100 travel agents attended the gathering.
flyadeal Chief Executive Officer Steven Greenway said the airline had made strong progress in just 12 months, rapidly building market awareness and expanding operations across Pakistan.
He added that flyadeal looks forward to further growing its network in Pakistan this year with additional destinations and increased frequencies, offering customers more choice, competitive fares and convenient non-stop services. Greenway also highlighted the importance of air connectivity in strengthening economic, cultural and business ties between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan.
Farooq Ahmad, Head of Sales at flyadeal, said the airline has developed a close working relationship with Pakistan’s travel trade, quickly earning trust and loyalty among agents and customers alike.
He noted that flyadeal’s services support the large Pakistani community living and working in Saudi Arabia by providing affordable travel options to visit family and friends, while also offering easy direct access to the Kingdom for business travel and Hajj and Umrah pilgrims, without the need for indirect connections through other Gulf hubs.
All flyadeal flights between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan are operated using Airbus A320 family aircraft in a single-class, 186-seat Economy configuration.
flyadeal currently operates from its bases in Riyadh, Jeddah, Dammam and Madinah, serving more than 30 domestic and international destinations across the Middle East, Europe, North Africa and South Asia, with a fleet of 44 Airbus A320 family aircraft.
