Etihad Airways has reported robust traffic figures for January 2026, building on the record-breaking performance of 2025 and reinforcing its position as one of the fastest-expanding airlines worldwide.
The airline welcomed 2.2 million passengers in January, representing a 29% increase compared with 1.7 million passengers in the same month last year. The passenger load factor climbed to 89.9%, up from 89.1% in January 2025, demonstrating strong demand across its network alongside effective capacity management.
As of early 2026, Etihad operated a fleet of 127 aircraft, serving 110 destinations globally, reflecting growth in both its fleet and route network compared with the previous year.
Antonoaldo Neves, Chief Executive Officer of Etihad Airways, said:
