Oman Air, the Sultanate of Oman's national carrier, today announced a significant expansion of its international network with the introduction of a new direct weekly service between Muscat and Sochi, Russia.
Commencing 2 July 2026, the year-round route will provide seamless connectivity to Sochi, a premier Black Sea resort destination renowned for its beaches, mountains, and mild climate. This addition builds on the airline's established Moscow operations—up to 11 weekly flights—and recent charter services to Salalah launched in December 2025, responding to rising demand from Russian travelers.
“Our network development prioritizes strategic opportunities to link Oman with high-growth markets,” stated Con Korfiatis, Chief Executive Officer of Oman Air. “The Sochi route capitalizes on the success of our Moscow services while addressing direct demand between our nations. This expansion actively promotes tourism inflows and advances Oman’s economic diversification objectives.”
Flights will utilize Oman Air’s Boeing 737-8 MAX aircraft, delivering the carrier’s signature premium hospitality, two-class configuration, and full onboard services.
