Gulf Air Group Holding has announced the appointment of a new Board of Directors to oversee the holding company as well as its aviation subsidiaries, Gulf Air and Bahrain Airport Company.
The newly constituted board will be led by Chairman Khalid Hussain Taqi. Other members include Shaikh Fahad bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa, Sara Ahmed Buhiji, Faisal Ali Al Jalahma, Alaa Abdulkhaleq Saeed, Sael Al Waary, and Julia Simpson.
According to the company, the new appointments reflect its strategy to strengthen corporate governance and active oversight across its aviation portfolio while supporting sustainable business growth. The move is also intended to enhance the aviation sector's contribution to the Kingdom of Bahrain's broader economic development objectives through effective asset management and strategic leadership.
Gulf Air Group also acknowledged the service of its outgoing Board of Directors, expressing appreciation for their commitment and the contributions they made during their tenure.
The group operates as a subsidiary of Bahrain Mumtalakat Holding Company (Mumtalakat), the sovereign wealth fund of the Kingdom of Bahrain. It serves as the holding company responsible for managing Mumtalakat's aviation assets, including Bahrain's national carrier, Gulf Air, and Bahrain Airport Company, which manages and operates Bahrain International Airport.
