Jazeera Airways is expanding its Kuwait-Prague service into the winter season for the first time, partnering with CzechTourism to offer travellers more options for festive and school-holiday trips to the Czech capital.
The Kuwaiti low-cost carrier will begin twice-weekly nonstop flights between Kuwait and Prague on 17 December. The seasonal service will continue through 7 February 2027, covering the peak festive period and school winter holidays.
The new operation extends a route that has traditionally been available only during the European summer season.
Prague remains a popular destination for travellers from Kuwait and across the region, with attractions such as Prague Castle, Charles Bridge, the Astronomical Clock, the historic Old Town, museums and galleries. During the winter months, the city adds festive markets, illuminated streets and seasonal celebrations to its tourism appeal.
Markets around Old Town Square are expected to be particularly attractive to families and leisure travellers looking for a European winter escape.
Jazeera Airways Chief Executive Officer Barathan Pasupathi said the airline was pleased to introduce its first winter service to Prague following the route’s popularity during summer. He said the combination of school holidays and Prague’s festive season creates an attractive period for travel, while the new operation reflects the airline’s focus on developing seasonal routes in response to market demand.
Barbara Andelová, International Marketing - Middle East and India at CzechTourism, said the organisation was pleased to work with Jazeera Airways on the new winter service. She noted that Prague offers a different experience during winter, with festive markets, historic sites and cultural attractions, and said the flights would make it easier for travellers from Kuwait and the wider region to visit Czechia during the season.
