Etihad Airways has announced that regional airspace closures are continuing to disrupt its flight operations, forcing a temporary suspension of all flights to and from Abu Dhabi until 2:00 a.m. UAE time on Monday, 2 March 2026.
The airline said it is working closely with the relevant aviation authorities to monitor the evolving situation and will resume normal operations as soon as it is safe to do so. Etihad noted that the circumstances remain dynamic, and flight schedules could change at short notice.
Travel Advice for Affected Passengers
Etihad is advising travellers with upcoming flights to take the following steps:
-
Check your flight status at etihad.com before heading to the airport.
-
Make sure your contact details are up to date in your booking to receive the latest updates.
-
Guests with Etihad tickets issued on or before 28 February 2026, and travel dates through 3 March 2026, can rebook for free onto any Etihad-operated flight up to 15 March 2026.
-
Passengers whose flights are impacted until 3 March can request a full refund via etihad.com/help or through their travel agent.
-
Those who booked through a travel agency should contact their agent directly for assistance.
Etihad added that its contact centres are currently handling a large volume of calls, which may result in longer waiting times. The airline thanked passengers for their understanding and patience.
Safety Remains the Top Priority
“Safety is always our number one priority,” an Etihad spokesperson said. “We apologise for the inconvenience and appreciate our guests’ understanding as we continue working to restore normal flight operations as quickly as possible.”
Etihad will continue to post the latest travel updates on its official website and social media channels as the situation develops.
