Etihad Airways has confirmed that all scheduled passenger flights to and from Abu Dhabi will remain suspended until 06:00 UAE time on Friday, 6 March, due to ongoing airspace restrictions in the region.
The airline said a small number of repositioning, cargo, and repatriation services continue to operate in coordination with UAE authorities and are subject to strict operational and safety clearances. Select flights with approved schedules on 4 and 5 March are available for booking through etihad.com.
Etihad advised travellers not to proceed to the airport unless they hold a confirmed booking issued within the past 24 hours, as access will be limited to passengers with verified travel documents.
Passengers are urged to check the latest flight status on etihad.com before heading to the airport and to ensure their contact details are up to date in their booking.
Customers holding Etihad tickets issued on or before 28 February 2026, with original travel dates up to 10 March 2026, may rebook on Etihad-operated flights free of charge for travel until 31 March 2026. Passengers travelling on Etihad flights through 10 March also have the option to request a refund via etihad.com/en/help/refund-form or by contacting their travel agent.
The airline noted that call volumes remain exceptionally high and encouraged customers seeking refunds to submit requests through the online form.
Etihad reaffirmed that safety remains its top priority and that regular flight operations will resume only once all safety and operational requirements are fully met.
