Etihad Airways reported a significant milestone in November 2025, welcoming 2.1 million passengers, marking a 28% increase compared to the same month in 2024. This surge in traffic brings the airline’s total number of passengers for the year to 20.2 million, reflecting a 20% year-on-year growth.
The airline's operational efficiency also remained impressive, with a passenger load factor of 89% for November, a 1 percentage point improvement over the previous year. For the year to date, Etihad has maintained an average load factor of 88%, demonstrating strong demand across its global network.
Expansion of Network and Fleet
Etihad’s growth in November was driven by its expanding network. The airline launched new services to Tunis, Hanoi, Chiang Mai, Hong Kong, and Medina, further strengthening Abu Dhabi’s position as a key global hub and catering to increasing inbound travel.
The airline’s fleet has also seen considerable expansion, with Etihad’s total fleet size reaching 124 aircraft by the end of November, up from 98 at the same time last year. This includes the addition of four new A321LRs in November, underscoring the airline’s ongoing investment in its fleet and capacity.
Antonoaldo Neves, Chief Executive Officer of Etihad Airways, commented on the results, saying, “These results reflect the hard work of our teams and the strategic investments we've made. Expanding our network and fleet while maintaining high load factors highlights our operational strength and positions us well for the year-end.”
