Omani citizens can now travel to Azerbaijan without needing a visa for one year, beginning February 15, 2026, according to an announcement from Oman’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The temporary exemption, set to expire on February 15, 2027, allows Omanis to enter Azerbaijan visa-free and remain for up to 30 days per visit, capped at three visits over the period. Travelers must carry passports valid for at least six months from entry and secure health insurance for their full stay.
This step builds on growing bilateral momentum between the two nations, highlighted by Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov’s October 2025 visit to Oman, where agreements were signed on visa waivers for diplomatic passports and consular cooperation to boost trade, energy, and political ties. The visa policy is expected to spur tourism, business, and cultural exchanges, fostering stronger people-to-people links.
“Oman and Azerbaijan are committed to deepening our partnership across key sectors, and this visa exemption marks a practical milestone in that journey,” the ministry stated, underscoring the policy’s role in enhancing connectivity.
