Saudi Arabia’s rapidly expanding low-cost carrier, flyadeal, has officially launched scheduled flights to Lahore, marking its fifth destination in Pakistan and further strengthening air links between the two nations.
The inaugural flight, F3 655, arrived at Lahore’s Allama Iqbal International Airport from Riyadh on Monday, receiving a traditional water cannon salute. The arrival was followed by a ceremonial cake-cutting event attended by airport officials, airline representatives, and the operating crew from the first flight.
With the new twice-weekly service, flyadeal now operates 18 weekly flights between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan, covering Karachi, Islamabad, Peshawar, Sialkot, and Lahore—all introduced in phases since February 2025.
“This is a remarkable milestone,” said Steven Greenway, Chief Executive Officer of flyadeal. “To build a countrywide operation from one to five cities in just eight months is a tremendous achievement. Our teams have worked tirelessly to establish the infrastructure needed to operate and promote these routes in record time.”
Farooq Ahmad, Head of Sales at flyadeal, described Pakistan as “one of flyadeal’s success stories.” Speaking at the Lahore airport, he said, “We’ve quickly earned the trust of both the travel trade and passengers. Pakistan’s dynamic market has embraced our low-cost model, and we look forward to deepening our partnerships as we grow further.”
Lahore, the capital of Punjab province and a UNESCO City of Literature, is a cultural and educational hub often regarded as Pakistan’s heart of art and learning. The new route is expected to serve a mix of business travelers, migrant workers, and Saudi-based Pakistani expatriates, with fares designed to remain affordable.
All flyadeal flights between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan are operated using Airbus A320 aircraft configured with 186 Economy Class seats.
Currently, the airline’s fleet consists of 42 A320s, serving over 30 destinations across the Middle East, North Africa, Europe, and South Asia from its bases in Riyadh, Jeddah, and Dammam. In line with Saudi Vision 2030, flyadeal plans to expand its network to more than 100 destinations with a fleet exceeding 100 aircraft by 2030.
Tickets for the new Lahore service are available via flyadeal’s mobile app, website (www.flyadeal.com
