Saudi budget airline Flynas will begin operating direct flights between Jeddah and Moscow on December 23, further strengthening air connectivity between the Kingdom and Russia.
The new service expands on Flynas’ existing Riyadh-Moscow route, which launched in August. According to a statement carried by the Saudi Press Agency, the airline will operate three weekly flights between Moscow’s Vnukovo International Airport and Jeddah’s King Abdulaziz International Airport.
The new route is being launched in partnership with the Saudi Tourism Authority and the Air Connectivity Program (ACP), an initiative introduced in 2021 to support tourism development by expanding international air routes to and from Saudi Arabia.
This expansion aligns with the National Civil Aviation Strategy, which aims to connect the Kingdom with 250 international destinations, accommodate 330 million passengers, and welcome 150 million tourists annually by 2030. The initiative also complements the Pilgrims Experience Program, which facilitates access to the Two Holy Mosques.
Founded in 2007, Flynas is the largest low-cost airline in the Middle East and North Africa, serving 72 destinations across the region, Europe, and Asia. The carrier has received multiple accolades, including recognition as the Middle East’s Leading Low-Cost Airline by the World Travel Awards and a four-star rating from APEX.
