Etihad Airways will resume a limited flight schedule starting from 6 March 2026, connecting Abu Dhabi to several major destinations worldwide. This move follows extensive assessments by the airline in coordination with relevant authorities, ensuring that all safety and security criteria are met before the resumption of operations.
Flights will be available for booking on the airline’s website, etihad.com. Passengers with existing bookings will be accommodated as soon as possible on these flights, and new tickets can also be purchased for travel during the period from 6 to 19 March.
However, the airline urges the public and travelers not to go to the airport unless they have been contacted directly by Etihad or have a confirmed booking for the resumed services. Only passengers holding valid tickets will be allowed to travel during this period.
Etihad emphasizes that all other regular commercial services to and from Abu Dhabi remain suspended until further notice. Passengers who have been impacted by flight cancellations will receive direct communication from the airline, which will include details about flight status and available options.
Important Information for Affected Passengers:
-
Passengers are advised to verify their flight status at etihad.com before heading to the airport.
-
Ensure your contact details are up to date in your booking to receive timely updates.
-
Etihad is offering free rebooking for passengers holding tickets issued on or before 28 February 2026, with original travel dates up to 21 March 2026, allowing changes to flights scheduled until 15 May 2026.
-
Passengers traveling on Etihad flights until 10 March can request a refund either through the refund request form on etihad.com or via their travel agent.
-
Those who booked via a travel agent are advised to contact their agent for assistance.
Due to a high volume of customer inquiries, passengers may experience longer-than-usual wait times when contacting Etihad's customer service team. The airline encourages customers seeking refunds to use the online refund form to expedite the process.
Etihad Airways remains committed to ensuring the safety of its passengers and staff, and services will only proceed once all safety and operational requirements are satisfied.
